Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good-Romans 12:9 (ESV)
The unfailing love of God is sincere to mankind by making it known to us what God hates [evil] and what He loves [good]. The question is are we loving what God loves and hating what He hates?
Well, some of us are not. We tend to do the opposite of what God expects from us. Why so? It is because we have made the desires of flesh to be dominant in our lives than the desires of the spirit due to the inconsistencies in our spiritual growth.
If we are consistent with our spiritual growth that is when the sincerity of God’s love will prevail in our lives to do or love what He loves and hate or not to do what He hates.
The only way we can grow spiritually is for us to have an intimate relationship with Him and a sincere heart to do His will by reading His word, being obedient, praying, being faithful, and etc.
Let us stop seeking for unnecessary things in this life and make God our primary focus. I can say that life is a puzzle and the missing piece is God. Those who find Him, and put at the centre of their lives, have all they need because God is enough. God should be dear to us and we must learn to seek Him above all things then all that we need or require in life which is in accordance with God’s will shall be added unto us.
The only way to avoid God’s wrath is to seek Him and love what He loves and hate what He hates. It might be that you have done something that He hates, but there is a chance for you to make amends with Him. Confess unto Him your faults; remember He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness. We must love what God loves and hate what He hates. He hates compromising with the world and its ways. We must do the same.
Always remember that, “God is spirit, and His worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth (John 4:24 NIV84).” To worship God in truth and in spirit is to do what He loves and hate what He hates.
