Faith, Word for Today

The Power of Faith

By In

Faith is a gift that must be exercised if you want to manifest your desires. As a Christian, faith is critical to your life and success. Faith is the full assurance of something; it is knowing without a doubt that something will happen.

Today, I want to share few points on the power of faith. It is important that as Christians we realise that our faith pleases God. The Bible even says that those who come to God must believe that He exists and He REWARDS those who seek Him.

The first point I’d like to share is that Faith gives you access to the Grace of God. Faith is the medium through which the Grace becomes evident in our lives. Ephesians 2:8 says, For by Grace you have been saved through faith —and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God. And so the greatest step you can take as a Christian is a walk in faith and not by sight.

The next point is that Faith requires action. Just as the Scriptures say in James 2:17, faith without works is dead. Faith requires expectation. You just can’t say God will make a way without you making any moves. You can’t say you will be rich when all you do is sleep. You can’t say you won’t fall sick if all you do is engage yourself in things that negatively affects your health. One thing we need to know is that, Faith is not about emotions… faith is not about how we feel. You must complement your faith with action which involves prayers, fasting, and engaging yourself in things that glorify God.

Another point I’d like to highlight is that Faith makes the impossible possible. Faith puts us in a position where we are strong in the LORD. That way, we need not change our confession. Faith doesn’t operate based on human logic. In the sight of men, what you want to experience in your life might not be possible but God says it is possible. Faith is a positive believe and confession which always leads to positive positive results. Your faith in God is never in vain. No wonder, Jesus Christ told the man who was healed from leprosy that, “Rise and go your way; your faith has made you well” with reference to Luke 17:19. Your faith will always end you well. What you thought you couldn’t achieve, by faith you will achieve it to the glory of God. That is the kind of God we serve… A God that is pleased when we move in faith. Faith doesn’t look at how it is going to happen, faith is just knowing that all things will work together for your good.

Also, Faith activates the power of God,  and fear activates the power of the devil. Belovedfaith activates God’s power in your life. Simply put, faith attracts God’s power but fear becomes a tool that the devil uses to destroy your life. Faith is the medium through which God’s supernatural power flows into your life. Exercise your faith today and activate the power of God in your life. Turn your fear into faith.

The last point I’d like to mention is that Faith can be nurtured. Meaning you can grow your faith. Just as the Bible says in Romans 10:17 that,”So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Consequently, faith comes not out of any ordinary hearing but hearing the word of God. We don’t need to believe in the lies and deceit of the enemy. We don’t need to hear words that break us down or discourage us. Make sure you are hearing words that help you in your walk with God. Just as faith is a gift, it is more like a seed. A seed is meant to grow and yield fruits.

May you find progressive freedom in your walk with God. You’re blessed!
