When the murdered makes the the murderer guiltless

By In

And all the people answered, “His blood be on us and on our children!” (‭Matthew‬ ‭27‬:‭25‬ ESV)

If you read matthew chapters 26-28 you will get to know more about the death and the resurrection of Christ.
Today what I want to point out to us is that-we all are guilty of murder whether we choose to accept it or not. Our forefathers who were present at the judgement of Christ before Pilate explicitly said “His blood be on us and our children.” Therefore, we are guilty of murder. However, it is through this very act of crucifixion that some of us have been saved.
We are guilty of murder because of our sins. If not for the sin of man Jesus would not have died on the cross for us. We therefore caused His murder, making all of us murderers.
Our sins led the lamb to the slaughter – Isaiah 53:7
Interestingly, the one that we murdered made us right before God, despite our long track record of rebellion against God since the fall of man in Genesis 3
In the worldly court of law, this evidence would have even worsened our case before the judge and to expect harsh judgement to be pronounced on us, but in this case, it worked together for our good because it is the crucifixion of Christ that made us right before God the judge. And all we need to do is admit we are guilty of all our sins, repent and accept Christ in our lives.
The bible says “He who was delivered over because of our transgressions, and was raised because of our justification. (‭Romans‬ ‭4‬:‭25‬ NASB)”.
Under the human rule of law, admitting you are guilty leads to judgement even if you are repentant of your crime. It is only under God’s rule of law repentance from our sins and faith in Christ Jesus leads to salvation.
His death became a blessing to us and good news for us because through that those who believe are no longer guilty before God (Romans 4:8)
Brethren, we all will be judged before God; 2 Corinthians 5:10 clearly states that both the living and dead will be judged according to their deeds. Will you be found guilty or guiltless?
If you haven’t accept Christ in your life please do by repenting and believing in Christ Jesus before it’s too late, mercy awaits you only whilst you are awake! Choose God, choose life!
